YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Thanks to our tipster Junebug, Your Mama has learned that Frank Sinatra's youngest daughter Tina, the one whose boots were not made for walking, recently listed her long time residence on Lloydcrest Drive in the Hills of Beverly with an asking price of $2,450,000.

If Your Mama is being honest, and we always are, we had to do a little searching on the interweb to sort out if this Miz Sinatra has accomplished anything in her life besides being the daughter of one of America's most iconic and beloved crooners. Turns out she has. Well, sort of. As best as we can tell, in the late sixties and early seventies, the good looking gal acted in a few boob-toob programs including the made for television film Fantasy Island as well as produced a couple of films including one about (surprise!) her father and in the year 2000 she authored a book about (surprise!) her father. Nothing wrong with a little nepotism folks. If Your Mama's daddy was rich, famous (and dead), we'd prolly be figuring and finessing ways to make profit off his memory too. Afterall, someone is going to do it, so it might as well be the family.

Anyhoo, as best as we glean from the property records, Miz Sinatra purchased this house way back in April of 1968. Your Mama hasn't got a clue what she paid for the place, but given that it was 40 years ago, well, you know that it was pennies on the$2,495,000 the property is currently listed.

Listing information reveals that Miz Sinatra's hillside house measures in at a modest 3,024 square feet and includes just 2 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms (as well as a separate guest apartment). Your Mama does not mind this particular ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms as we do not like to encourage too many house guests to stay too long. However, the slim number of primary sleeping chambers will likely rule out all those Brady Bunch style family buyers and all the real estate size queens who are convinced that owning a house with less than five or six bedrooms is a punishment. Other amenities include a double living room (whatever that is) with a fireplace, a dining area, a media room and a "warm and inviting" kitchen that opens up to an outdoor living and dining terrace which despite that disturbing ceramic lemon tower tree thing on the table looks like the only part of the house Your Mama could be in without feeling like we wanted to poke out our eyeballs with a pencil.

Miz Sinatra's house is located in a neighborhood that is often referred to as the Crest Streets, a swanky and hilly 'hood located between Coldwater Canyon Drive on the west and and Loma Vista Drive on the east, is chock full of rich and famous folks like wiglicious wonder Tyra Banks who owns a home on Readcrest Drive, Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen has a gigantic estate on Beverlycrest where his next door neighbor is Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis and just around the corner from Miz Sinatra one Waynecrest Drive is the 14,595 square foot mansion of shockingly rich Ron Popeil, the Ginsu knife guru and inventor of all manner of seemingly useless items such as the GLH-9 hair in a can product, the Cap Snaffler, and the Inside the Shell Egg Scrambler.

Although the listing for Miz Sinatra's house is still marked "active" in the MLS, jaw-flapping Junebug swears all up and down that the property is in currently escrow and that Miz Sinatra will soon be packing up all her truckloads of tchotchkes and schlepping it less than a mile away as the crow flies to a newly built house on Wallace Ridge Drive where she'll be close enough to send her house gurl down the street to Courtney Cox and David Arquette's house to borrow a cup of sugar.

Did Tina take those pics? If so it looks as if the last time she updated her eyeglass prescription was the last time she updated her décor

Definately can't accuse Tina of over-staging this house. That decor is just plain UGLY.

This one threw me for a loop, Mama. Please pass me the pencil. And, can you spare a Xanax? (Thank you.)

First thought: A child of Frank owning ... this? Interiors designed like ... that? Oh whell. The decor at her dad's Palm Springs spread always perplexed me too, so why should this property be any different? Maybe Burt will snap it up -- furnished. (Meow, slap me.)

But then I read this and an inpending infusion of cash for the kiddos, step mom and Warner execs easily fell into place.

The interiors remind me a little of the decor of my southern grandmother's house. You can decide if that's a compliment or not. I can't imagine being even remotely famous--or famous by association as are children of the famous--and having a carport where google maps could capture a photo of the car I drive along with the license plate!

The interior of this house reminds me of Burt Reynolds place that was for sale that Mama covered many moons ago. It actually looks better than his did. However, that is certainly not saying much...

VERY interesting article Sandpiper...I remember when it was revealed that Sinatra left control of his businesses to his children, it was shocking, Barbara Sinatra was and still is furious. Not that anyone else in Hollywood minds, Barbara Sinatra is not known for being Ms Congeniality.

Tina's house is kitsch. I do like the patio. That's about it. The new house, one can imagine, will be fabulous...or not. After all, she's doing it her way...

I know it's fun to be snarky about the interiors but I see a house that will be stripped of those interiors very soon and looks like it is actually a very reasonably sized home in a good neighborhood. I'm not surprised if it sold quickly.

Just to set the record straight, Mama: Tina is Frank Sinatra's YOUNGEST daughter. The rest of your facts go downhill from there. You really shouldn't rely on the web for such information. She's a very accomplished movie producer, with film credits including the Denzel Washington remake of The Manchurian Candidate.

To viva! above who was so shocked by the terms of Sinatra's will: You really should read Tina's book, My Father's Daughter. The furious evil stepmother, Barbara (and I mean EVIL, as in "despicable gold digger") got all the cash.

Did they coat the camera lens with vaseline before taking these photos?

I'm leaving the decor out of it and simply saying that this house was made for walking...right on by.

It looks as though Miss Tina has a serious problem with garage sale addiction. Most of this stuff would be rejected by the Salvation Army. I wouldn't be surprised if Miss Tina shares this place with a pet spider monkey wearing a little tuxedo with the bow tie untied and sucking on a lucky.

Looks like Ol' Blue Eyes exacted some revenge from beyond the grave for Tina's exploitation of his good name by sending a bunch of nasty, straight poltergeists in to decorate ––– very Ocean's Eleven.

Gut it.

It looks like it would reek of cocaine, lubricant, and the sweat of an all male cast.

I have a question

America lost 700 BILLION last week, lucky for me I got out of the markets a few months back

now the banks are getting bailed out

does that mean the RE prices are going to remain high ?

We the taxpayers are on the hook for the bailout correct ?

Anonymous said...

It would be ironic if we the taxpayers are now forced to keep the prices sky high for the next 5 years or more

I believe that this is BHPO, not Beverly Hills.

Anonymous said...

Luke it's BH 90210 unless all other sources are wrong.

Look forward to the day you actually have an opinion rather than a correction. C'mon Luke you must have some views. Losen up and get crazy.

Vaseline, lubricant, what is going on in the Hills of Beverly that us mere mortals know natch of??? What with the credit crunch and all do we really need to be a slippin and a slidin over the finer details of RE? Polished floor boards are one thing but to introduce artificial lubrication, well that's a completely different ball park!

That has got to be the ugliest looking interior of a house I have seen. Someone would be better off burning it down and build something new.

anonymous 9:33, Luke is correct. This house is in Beverly Hills Post Office, which -- since you are not getting it -- carries the address of Beverly Hills, 90210 but has Los Angeles schools and services.
It doesnt really matter if its BH or BHPO, or if its ugly and dated because it is indeed SOLD.

Second of all, I have to vent to all those who way back when said Molly Sims house was so overpriced. Well, it sold instantly. So there.

and mama, even though I love to hate ugly houses as much as the next guy (I'm thinking specifically of Andrew Lazars's TUSCAN WHATEVER) I think it hits below the belt to write about civilians in real estate.
He is a behind the scenes guy and only public figures deserved to be flogged on your website.

Great post pleanty of details re Sinatra I think this will still sell despite the blobal slowdown people at the level of income who can afford such a luxury home are not affected by things like mortage finace restrictions

I give Tina a lot of credit for low key lifestyle.

This house won't be bad once emptied. I'm not wild about the carport from the street but inside it looks like a good space for entertaining. Good value too, it would be a lot more inside the city limits, but still a convenient location. MLS still shows it active.

Regarding Andrew Lazar, I think he's fair game. There is a new post on his house, from an "ex" which is interesting.

Betcha ol' Blue Eyes paid for this house back in '68 for little Tina just like he's paying for her new one, post mortem being the difference of course...

on the bright side, tina somehow got her hands on a fine fine ed moses painting

not shown to its best advantage in that mosh pit of a living room
